...with a federal judge on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. There, Dezsi handled both federal civil and criminal appeals from Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Michigan.
Having served as a law clerk at both the federal trial and appeals courts, Michael Dezsi has first-hand experience and expertise in federal law and practice including the complex area of post-conviction remedies including writs of habeas corpus, civil rights and constitutional law.
Dezsi later joined the Fieger Law Firm where he handled numerous high-profile civil and criminal cases. In particular, Dezsi successfully represented Mr. Fieger in several federal legal battles. In December 2006, Dezsi won a reversal from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Mr. Fieger’s constitutional claims against members of the Michigan Supreme Court who Fieger claimed were overtly biased against him. Michael Dezsi was also part of the “Fieger Dream Team” led by the legendary Wyoming lawyer, Gerry Spence, that obtained Mr. Fieger’s across-the-board acquittal of a ten-count felony indictment for federal campaign finance violations.
Dezsi has handled and argued dozens of appeals at the federal courts for the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. He has also handled several civil rights cases at numerous federal courts across the country including as a member of the trial bar of the Northern District of Illinois. He has also briefed and argued numerous cases in the Michigan trial and appellate courts. His litigation strategies are considered intensely aggressive placing his clients in the best possible position to come out victoriously. All of these things contribute to his ability to instantly think on his feet and draw from past training and experiences to execute winning strategies in his cases.
