About Dezsi Law

Michael Dezsi graduated cum laude in 2002 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he also served as Executive Editor of Law Review. After graduating from law school, Dezsi went on to obtain prestigious federal clerkships at both the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and later with the Cincinnati-based United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit where he learned first-hand the inner workings of the federal courts.

During his nearly twenty-year legal career, Dezsi has earned the reputation of a skilled litigator in complex civil and criminal cases before both the state and federal courts. He has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of clients who were seriously injured in automobile collisions and as a result of medical malpractice. Dezsi has also recovered millions of dollars for individuals whose civil rights were violated by governmental or law enforcement officials. Attorney Dezsi has represented numerous attorneys and judges who have been charged with misconduct by the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission and the Judicial Tenure Commission.

Michael Dezsi has also helped free from prison individuals who were wrongfully convicted of crimes and later received multi-million dollar settlements for their wrongful convictions. Twice, Dezsi has successfully petitioned the United States Supreme Court to grant relief on behalf of two of his clients who were facing life sentences in prison.

Dezsi also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at his alma mater the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he teaches civil procedure and federal courts and jurisdiction.
