In this case, Dezsi represented  a young woman who had been sexually assaulted in her home by a Southfield police officer who responded to a call for help.  After she reported the incident, the police officer committed suicide.  In response to the woman’s lawsuit, the City of Southfield claimed that it was not responsible for the police officer’s assault on the woman and the trial court agreed and dismissed the case.  Dezsi successfully briefed and argued the matter on appeal and won a reversal and reinstatement of the case.
