In this federal habeas corpus action, Dezsi represented a former Detroit City Counsel member who was convicted of public corruption. In the habeas petition, Dezsi challenged as unconstitutional the jury selection process of the federal court after it was discovered that Wayne County and African Americans were not fairly represented on federal juries in Detroit. Dezsi pioneered the effort to reexamine the entire jury selection process which eventually resulted in significant changes to the system.
